Era Living Celebrates 3 Years of Recognition in The Seattle Times’ Best in the PNW
For the third year in a row, voters have chosen Era Living as a people’s choice winner in The Seattle Times’ “Best in the PNW” competition!
This prestigious award honors leading businesses in the Pacific Northwest who are selected through months of regional nominations and voting. In recognition of our eight premier retirement communities, we’re delighted to announce that we received this year’s Bronze award in the highly competitive senior community category. It is truly a privilege to join fellow honorees and the community in celebrating this exciting accolade!
Our Proven Track Record
For us, being recognized consistently is especially meaningful because it shows that we’re maintaining a high level of excellence—year after year—for the people we serve. Since this contest began in 2023, voters have honored us with the following recognition:
-
-
- Silver in 2023
- Gold in 2024
- Bronze in 2025

Why This Matters
At Era Living, people are at the heart of everything we do. What makes this award so special is that it’s determined by public vote—demonstrating trust and confidence from those who know us best.
As a testament to our services and other “Best in the PNW” 2025 winners, more people than ever voted in this year’s competition. The 2025 contest had over 944,000 votes cast, an 84% increase year over year!
What Makes Era Living Stand Out?
Our retirement living communities provide multiple senior housing options, including independent living for seniors, assisted living, and memory care. Beyond our picturesque settings and professional staff, we are distinguished by our:
Locally and family-owned legacy. Since 1987, Era Living has been guided by the values of respect, integrity, innovation, teamwork, and excellence instilled by our founders, Eli and Rebecca Almo.
Consistency and quality across all eight communities. Each of our communities maintains its own personalized management team, while also benefiting from centralized decision-making to achieve exceptional quality and consistency.
Resident-driven innovation and continuous improvement. We actively seek and listen to residents’ feedback so that we can continue to meet their needs and ensure a vibrant, supportive senior living experience.
Culture of joy, connection, and belonging. Our enriching programming and wellness resources create a welcoming environment where residents throughout different stages of aging can feel at home.
As described by a resident in an online review about The Gardens at Town Square:
From the moment we moved into The Gardens, my husband and I knew it was the right move for us. Both staff and residents have been so very helpful and pleasant, especially with the adjustment to downsizing and move-in. And with the abundance of activities and programs offered by The Gardens both on and off site, we are never at a loss to fill our days.
A Big Thank You to the Voters!
All of us at Era Living extend a heartfelt thank you to our residents, families, staff, and community supporters who chose us for this great honor. We deeply value your trust and confidence in our services—and we remain committed to enhancing the quality of life for all of our residents.
