What Is the U.S. News Best Senior Living Award?
Now in its fourth year, the U.S. News Best Senior Living Award program is a distinguished recognition given to senior living communities that have demonstrated excellence in service and care. This award is based on real feedback from residents and their families, reflecting the quality of life and level of care provided. To receive this award, communities must achieve high ratings across several key areas, including safety, caregiving, activities, management, staff, dining, and overall value. U.S. News partnered with Activated Insights, an independent research organization, to administer these surveys. Importantly, the award is based solely on genuine feedback from residents and their families.
Choosing a senior living community is a major life decision for older adults and their families. U.S. News’ Best Senior Living ratings provide data-driven decision support, offering an unbiased evaluation of resident and family satisfaction in senior living communities,” said Liz Pearce, Director, Senior Living at U.S. News.
To earn the Best Senior Living designation, our communities met the following rigorous criteria:
- Weighted final score of at least .85
- Response rate of at least 30%
