From its early days as a quiet farming community, to the pivotal moment when the Lacey V. Morrow Floating Bridge opened in 1940 and connected Bellevue to Seattle, this talk traces the forces that shaped the city we know today. You’ll hear how post–World War II growth, suburban dreams, and the opening of Bellevue Square transformed the area into an incorporated city by 1953, and how those roots paved the way for Bellevue’s evolution into today’s vibrant, innovative tech hub.
